The 2016 Voice of Pride competition is coordinated by the Dallas Tavern Guild in conjunction with our June Pride month celebration and concluded Sunday night (Aug. 27th) in The Rose Room at S4 with another great year. The contest only proves that Dallas has a lot of great talent and it certainly was on display during the two month event. We want to congratulate this year’s winner, Alvaro Ramalho.

The 2016 Voice of Pride competition is coordinated by the Dallas Tavern Guild in conjunction with our June Pride month celebration and consisted of five (5) Preliminary competitions around the community which began in early June and continued through the end of the month. All singers qualifying from the Preliminaries competed in one of four (4) Elimination rounds. All qualifiers from the Elimination rounds competed in one of the two (2) Quarter-Finals. At the Quarter-Finals, ten (10) singers qualified from each of the two (2) events leaving us with twenty (20) singers at the SemiFinal competition. At the Semi-Finals we selected the top ten (10) to compete at the Final night.
The winners not only win cash prizes, but will ride in the Heineken Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade and perform at the Festival in the Park on September 18th, 2016.
