Dallas Pride is excited to announce the theme of this year’s parade will be ‘Vote NOH8 in the Lone Star State’. All parade participants are encouraged to design their entry in a presentation complimentary to the 2018 theme.

After it was announced that Jeff Parshley and Adam Bouska, who originated the NOH8 campaign, will be the 2018 honorary grand marshals of the 2018 parade, the parade organizers decided to incorporate the NOH8 official logo into the theme. “They have authorized us to use the official logo in the phrase” said Michael Doughman, executive director of the Dallas Tavern Guild.

The theme includes the NOH8 campaign with the current social and political activism found in society today. It is hoped that this timely theme will provide inspiration to participants as well as spectators.

The Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade will be held Sunday, September 16th at 2:00 pm on Cedar Springs Road in the heart of Oak Lawn. The Miller Lite Music Festival in the Park will be one day earlier – Saturday, September 15th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm in Reverchon Park.
