DJ GRIND (San Francisco)
DJ GRIND (Stephen Massey) is one of the most sought-after up-and-coming DJs and producers on the gay circuit. With a sound firmly anchored in uplifting vocal house, he always strives to take his dance floor on a journey toward joy. In 2013, DJ GRIND was nominated for three JustCircuit Awards, including “DJ of the Year,” and he was named an “All-Star DJ” by Matineé North America. He is the winner of the 2012 JustCircuit Award for “Best Pool Party” and the 2011 GayDays National DJ Contest.
Over the past three years, DJ GRIND has headlined at some of the country’s largest events — including White Party Palm Springs, Matineé Las Vegas, GayDays, San Diego PRIDE, Sand Blast Weekend, Splash Days, and Circuit Week Provincetown — and he’s performed at many of North America’s largest venues, including clubs in New York City, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, West Hollywood, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver, among others. He’s been a featured artist on multiple RSVP Vacations’ Caribbean & Mediterranean cruises, and he’s headlined at major clubs and events in Asia (DESTINATION Beijing, Club Angel Shanghai, BED Manila) and Latin America (LVNG Mexico City, PARADISO Playa del Carmen). In 2011, DJ GRIND supported Kylie Minogue’s “Aphrodite” World Tour as an opening act.
Together with his production partner Toy Armada, DJ GRIND is also an accomplished producer & remixer. In 2013, the duo produced an official club mix for Kimberley Locke’s UK #1 pop and dance single ,“Feel the Love” (3beat Records), as well as official remixes for Jessica Sutta, Melanie B, Abigail, and Natascha Bessez, among others.
DJ GRIND’s monthly podcasts have received more than 3 million downloads worldwide, and rank as one of the most popular dance music podcasts on iTunes & Podomatic. The San Francsico-based DJ is also the resident music critic for RealJock.com, and his work has been featured on SiriusXM’s BPM & OutQ, Fusion Radio, GayInternetRadioLive, and GaydarRadio, among others.
DJ Brandon Moses (Dallas)
Brandon’s unique style of vocal-infused dance music is very much a product of his past experiences as a professional musician. Starting in fourth grade, Brandon sang in his school and church choirs and continued to sing all the way through his years at his University. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in music education, Brandon taught middle school choir for six years. “I love to sing. It’s always been a huge part of my life. When I’m spinning, you’ll often see me singing along.”
This aspiring DJ started releasing podcasts in 2008. After gaining a small group of fans that encouraged him to keep putting out more mixes, Brandon was soon DJing live at small venues throughout the Dallas area. This soon led to a residency at The Tin Room and the Drama Room.
In October of 2010, Brandon left his residencies and concentrated on private events and parties. He has become a sought after DJ for several charitable organizations in the Dallas area. The Purple Foundation has invited him to spin at the main event of The Purple Party three years in a row. He has spun the Dallas Red Party twice, The Lambda Legal White Party in Dallas, the Toast to Life Reception for the Dallas Resource Center, and the official Black Tie Dinner After Party. His favorite charity event was a private Christmas party in which the attendees were required to bring a teddy bear to donate to Children’s Medical Center.
In addition to charitable events in Dallas, Brandon’s talent has reached further abroad. Now three years in a row, it is safe to say he is the resident DJ at the Portofino Island Resort in Pensacola Beach for Memorial Day weekend. Brandon has also played two years in a row for the Telluride Gay Ski Week in Telluride, CO.
“I’m extremely excited about what the future holds,” said Brandon. “I have big dreams, and an even bigger passion for dancing and music. It gives me great joy to see friends having fun on the dance floor, with smiles on their faces. It’s really quite simple…I love music, I love to dance, and I love making people happy. What could be better than being a DJ?”
